Volunteer Work Day at Batavia Wildflower Sanctuary

Please join us for a volunteer workday at the Batavia Wildflower Sanctuary!

The Batavia Wildflower Sanctuary and Riverwalk are located at 200 N. Island Avenue in downtown Batavia, surrounding the Riverain Point Apartment Building. They were started in 1991 by volunteers that cleared a thicket of invasive weeds and shrubs. Native trees, plants and shrubs were planted, and a brick pathway and boardwalk were installed. With the help of the Batavia Park District, volunteer gardeners continue to plant, weed and maintain the area. If you are interested in a group tour or in joining the volunteers, please contact Sarah at Sarahkimber123@gmail.com

Please bring gardening gloves, eye protection, drinking water, clippers and a small shovel/trowel.
